Tempat SLK support

Tempat SLK shows the Western Australian road number and SLK (straight line kilometre) at your location, and takes site photos stamped with the road, SLK, coordinates, date and time. It is free, and published by Tempat (Equinox Software Pty Ltd).

Contact: support@tempat.com.au. We aim to reply within two business days.

Report a problem from the app: About → Send problem report. It opens an email with details that help us fix the problem. You can read it before you send it, and it never includes your location.

Common questions

It says "No road within 25 m".

The app covers roads in Western Australia only. In WA, you may be further from the road centreline than the search distance, for example in a wide road reserve or a car park. Increase the distance in Settings (25 to 250 m), or move closer to the road.

The SLK looks wrong, or jumps between roads.

How do I get the latest road data?

The app downloads new road networks by itself on Wi-Fi. On mobile data it asks first. To check now: About → Check for updates. About also shows the date of the network you are using.

Where are my photos?

Stamped photos are saved to your phone's photo library (Photos or Google Photos), in the main timeline. File names start with "TempatSLK".

Can I turn off the "Tempat SLK" text on photos?

Yes: Settings → Photos.

The app can't find my location, or the camera won't open.

Check that location and camera access are allowed for Tempat SLK in your phone's settings, and that location services are on. Then return to the app.

Is this the Main Roads WA app?

No. Tempat SLK is not affiliated with or endorsed by Main Roads Western Australia. The road data is Main Roads WA open data, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
